Tiapong Tzudir completed his Master’s in Sociology at the University of Mumbai. He was actively involved with NCF Mumbai, and even after leaving Mumbai, he continues to be a great support to our church. He is currently a part of the Young India Fellowship, Class of 2025 at Ashoka University, Sonipat

Most times, God’s blessings come in ways we never expect through strangers who turn into family, through online connections that blossom into lifelong friendships, and through small acts of kindness that leave a lasting mark. My journey with the Naga Christian Fellowship (NCF) began in 2021, during a time when the world was slowly adjusting to life after the lockdown. I had just moved from Delhi to Mumbai for my master’s, stepping into a city I barely knew, with nothing but hope to hold on to. What I found there wasn’t just a church or a fellowship—it was a family that became one of the most meaningful parts of my life. Before I even arrived in Mumbai, I met Imlinaro Tzudir and Limhathung Ezung online. Despite us only knowing each other virtually, they went out of their way to help me find a place to rent. Their kindness stood out—they didn’t just stop at helping me settle in; they became my first friends in the city. From day one, they welcomed me with open arms, making me feel at home in an unfamiliar place. They showed me around Mumbai, introduced me to new experiences, and most importantly, connected me to NCF and God in a deeper way. I still remember joining my first NCF service online through their encouragement. Back then, everything was virtual, but even from behind a screen, I could feel the warmth and connection of the fellowship. It was unlike anything I’d experienced before, and it made me feel part of something special, even from afar.

Sundays have always been my personal day—a time to relax and catch up on things I couldn’t manage during the week. I wasn’t someone who typically enjoyed going to church or fellowships, but the online NCF meetings were different. They were refreshing and genuine, and the friends I met there encouraged me to participate more actively. They weren’t perfect, and neither was I, but their faith and dedication inspired me to take steps I never thought I would

When I finally met Imlinaro, Limhathung, and the others in person, my connection with NCF deepened. Together, we attended services, grew spiritually, and built memories that I’ll treasure forever. They guided me to church and helped me feel included, even when I was unsure of myself. I’ll always be grateful for their unwavering kindness and for introducing me to the larger NCF family. And to be frank, financial struggles were a reality of my student life, and there were Sundays when I couldn’t afford the travel to Chembur for church, it sometimes cost me INR 500 for both ways which was a lot for me. But God always made a way. My seniors and friends from around Kalina would offer to take me along, without even knowing my situation. It felt like divine provision every single time. And through NCF, I found not just friends but a family.

I vividly remember the series on the Book of Revelation taught by Pastor Hamyan. Week by week, he broke it down in a way that was incredibly rewarding and spiritually enriching. The kindness of the pastor and his family also left a lasting impression. Their home was always open, their hospitality heartfelt, and their generosity genuine.

And also another blessing for my time in Mumbai as a student was the dinners and fellowship we shared after services which I considered it as a blessing. On Sundays, when my hostel didn’t provide meals, being invited to share a meal at someone’s home felt like God’s provision in action. Those simple acts of care reminded me of His love in the most profound ways.

Thank you NCF Mumbai for helping me find the light and the truth. This is the biggest blessing!
